Launched in the summer of 2012, No.87 Vintage and Retro soon made a name for itself within the Hull vintage community.
After holding many “vintage” event days in our Newland Avenue shop, we quickly realised that the demand for genuine classic vintage items, both clothing and homewares, was great and, as we certainly had a fantastic range and supply to satisfy all our vintage loving supporters, the idea for a dedicated shop was born.
We secured a new shop premises and decided to keep it simple by naming it No.87, a catchy and easily remembered shop name, but still retaining the link to Dove House Hospice where ALL our profits go to support our patients and their loved ones. Dove House is an amazing cause which provides specialist care to adults in Hull and East Yorkshire living with terminal illness.
No.87 was quickly filled with rare and unique gems which had all been generously donated to the hospice.
Word soon spread and customers came from far and wide for the high-quality vintage finds that No.87 soon became known for.

After many successful years the fantastic team at No.87, who were there from the start decided it was time to move on, making way for future developments and a new management team. We’re pleased to introduce Ryan as the new Shop Manager. Ryan comes with a wealth of knowledge and vast experience setting up vintage events nationwide and online selling. He has some great ideas for the future and continued success of No.87.
